Assistant Professor of Plant Evolutionary Biology

The Department of Plant Biology, Ecology, and Evolution at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater (http://plantbio.okstate.edu) seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2022. The ideal candidate will address fundamental questions in Plant Evolutionary Biology, especially if using approaches that contain a genomic or genetic component. The position will complement departmental strengths in evolutionary biology, ecology, genetics, and cell and molecular biology. The successful candidate is expected to build an innovative, externally-funded research program, and contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring. Effective and engaging teaching of introductory and advanced courses in the candidate’s specialty are expected. A Ph.D. in evolution, ecology, genetics, plant biology, or a related field is required; postdoctoral experience is expected.
