Scientist, Africa & Madagascar Program, Missouri Botanical Garden

The Missouri Botanical Garden is seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates for a Scientist position in our Africa and Madagascar Program. We are looking for applicants with a wide range of experience, from Ph.D. candidates who are now finishing to senior scientists with many years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting systematic research on various flowering plant groups, focusing on tropical Africa and/or Madagascar, and will use a diversity of approaches (such as field and herbarium studies, phylogenetics, biogeography, conservation analysis, etc.). The Scientist will be expected to pursue funding both for individual research and for programmatic activities, and to participate in and contribute to training and mentoring of students and collaborators, both in St. Louis and Africa.
