The successful candidate is expected to contribute to our undergraduate programs through effective instruction in established and newly developed courses based on their expertise. That candidate will also serve as an academic advisor to undergraduate and graduate students and will be required to provide service to UVM and the wider academic community. We seek a colleague who shares our commitment to mentoring and supporting students
and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and to developing more inclusive and equitable academic practices.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree with an emphasis in plant biology and have demonstrated teaching expertise focusing on plants at the organismal level; ability to teach field courses is particularly desirable. Salary will be set at a level appropriate to the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience.
