Post Doctoral Research Position - Phylogenomics of Melastomataceae

We are currently soliciting a two-year post doc to work on our NSF-funded project to develop a global phylogeny of the family Melastomataceae, with an annual salary of $50,000 USD plus benefits. See project here: https://nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=2002270&HistoricalAwards=false

Responsibilities of the post-doctoral researcher would be the collection and organization of project samples, DNA extractions and data analyses of hyb-seq and genome skimming datasets, maintenance of laboratory equipment and purchasing of supplies pertinent to the project, coordination with all project members, including students, and domestic and foreign collaborators, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and presentation of research results at relevant professional meetings, as well as the preparation of publications.

Requirements. Experience with phylogenetics and handling genome-scale datasets, as well as an understanding of, and experience with, biogeographic and divergence time estimation analyses are crucial.

Previous experience with, and analysis of, nuclear probe datasets is desired.
