Field trip support for students attending Botany 2017

The Botanical Society of America Systematics Section and the American Society of Plant Taxonomists are providing financial support for students to participate in field trips at Botany 2017.  We will provide up to $100 to 40 student members from either society to participate in the field trips!  Awards are on a first come, first serve basis, so please register early and apply soon!

Students wishing to take advantage of this financial assistance should send John Schenk an e-mail message (jschenk@georgiasouthern.edu) after registering for the field trip.  Include your name, e-mail address, affiliation (whether you are a member of ASPT, BSA, or both societies), mailing address, and the field trip title.  We will arrange for you to be reimbursed for $100 (or the cost of the trip if it is less than $100).  Important! If you are a graduate student, you must be a member of ASPT or the BSA Systematics Section to receive this funding.  The membership requirement is waived for undergrads attending Botany 2017. Student membership is quite reasonable and it is not too late to become a member and take advantage of this and other offers.  We really hope students will take advantage of this opportunity!  Information to become an ASPT or BSA member can be found by following the two links below:
